A new Bexar County Military and Veterans Service Center Director is scheduled to come onboard in September 2022. LTC Keith Wilson is slated for the directorship upon his retirement from U.S. Army Soldier for Life, Regional Director for South U.S., Northeast U.S. and Europe. In preparation for his new role, a veteran employment strategy session introduced Wilson to area employment partners at the federal, state and city levels; as well as private enterprise and nonprofits serving veterans.

“The meeting allowed him to get familiar with the players in the area,” said Laurie Pimentel-Johnson,TVC VES South Texas District Outreach Coordinator and Army veteran. “It was exciting. We all knew each other. These organizations work together as a team. He wanted to know how we collaborate. He got a taste of how we do things as a community force and how we connect with those who are transitioning.”
